Leroy E. Vogel is a professor emeritus at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

He retired in 1997 after 14 years of distinguished service in various roles at the Seminary, including assistant professor (1983-88); associate professor of Practical Theology (1988-97); dean of student life (1983-89); chaplain (1990-91); director of professional development and placement (1990-96); and dean of administration (1991-96).

Prior to the Seminary he served as a chaplain in the United States Navy (1962-82).

He received his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Concordia Seminary (1961). He also holds a Master of Sacred Theology (S.T.M.) from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia (1969).
